Best Cheap VPS Hosting in India (2026): Top Picks Compared
A VPS (virtual private server) is the most affordable way to get your own server with root access — for websites, apps, bots, trading tools or development environments. India now has plenty of budget options, but the cheapest price on a landing page rarely tells the whole story. Below are our top picks, followed by a checklist for comparing any provider.
The best cheap VPS hosting in India

- Every plan names its processor: Intel Xeon E5-2696 v4, AMD EPYC 7763 or Ryzen 9 9950X.
- Ryzen 9 plans use DDR5 memory and NVMe storage for demanding workloads.
- DDoS protection is for Minecraft servers only, and vCores and RAM can be customised.

What to look for in a cheap VPS
1. The actual processor, not just "vCPU"
Two plans with "4 vCPU" can perform very differently. A good provider tells you exactly which processor you're getting. If the CPU model isn't listed anywhere, assume older hardware. PNC Servers lists the processor on every plan.
2. RAM type, storage and bandwidth
- RAM: DDR5 is noticeably faster than DDR4 for demanding workloads.
- Storage: NVMe SSDs are much faster than SATA SSDs, which are far faster than HDDs.
- Network: check the port speed and monthly transfer, not just "unlimited" claims.
3. INR billing and GST
Paying a foreign provider in dollars adds currency conversion and, with most Indian cards, a foreign-transaction markup. Paying in rupees avoids that. Hosting services in India also attract 18% GST, so check whether listed prices include it when you compare.
4. Minecraft DDoS protection, support and refunds
At PNC Servers, DDoS protection is for Minecraft servers only. Check the protection offered for your workload, how you can reach a real person when something breaks, and the refund policy before you pay.
Red flags to avoid
- No processor model or memory type listed anywhere.
- "Unlimited" everything, with the real limits hidden in the fine print.
- Big discounts that only apply to multi-year prepayment, followed by steep renewals.
- Unclear workload restrictions on DDoS protection, or backups sold only as costly add-ons.
- No clear way to contact a human.
